Applying Customer Needs To Your Business Model
Sunday, August 31st, 2008When determining what your customer’s most basic needs are, start by first understanding that you probably can’t satisfy all people at all times.
As a business that is trying to fill needs, you can easily dilute your identity if you attempt to do that.
Instead, determine which needs you can fill, being compatible with what your identity is and what you have to offer.
The next step is to have an exchange with your customers and prospects to determine which needs they desire the most.
Then determine which of those needs you can actually fill.
Once you set out to fill those predetermined needs, as expressed through feedback, “blow your horn!”
Let your entire marketplace know that you listened and did something positive and constructive to satisfy their needs.
Change your ads, if need be, to include the specific need-filling advantages you are offering.
Send out letters, postcards, emails, and mailers. Let your customers and prospects know that you are prepared to fill their needs.
Once you commit to it, then make certain you’re prepared to follow through.
